Board launches comprehensive search for CEO to drive product innovation and scale Net Health’s AI-forward mandate

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Net Health, an AI-native specialty platform serving clinicians across the care continuum, today announced that Ron Books is transitioning from his role as CEO to become executive chairman of the board, replacing Donna Morea, who remains on the board as a director.

Books, who is returning to ECI Solutions as its CEO, will continue to guide Net Health’s long-term strategic vision from the board level. To ensure operational continuity, Net Health’s COO, Patrick Rooney, has been appointed interim CEO. The Board has launched a comprehensive search for a new CEO, prioritizing candidates with a proven track record of driving technological innovation and scaling enterprise-native artificial intelligence across specialized clinical platforms.

Books became CEO in October 2023. During his tenure, Net Health completed its migration to Microsoft Azure and added several key acquisitions, including Alinea and Limber Health.
