CHICAGO, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kids need to move, but finding ways to make movement accessible, engaging, and part of everyday life isn’t always easy. Tovie, a new Pedal-to-Play™ stationary bike for kids built around the science of regulation, launched today on Kickstarter with early-bird pricing starting at $279.
Designed for kids ages 5 and up, Tovie pairs movement with Bluetooth-connected games and activities, turning kids’ pedaling into the controller. Developed by parents with guidance from experts in occupational therapy, psychology, and pediatric health, Tovie supports physical movement and regulation at home, in the classroom, or in clinical settings.

Movement Built for Kids
Tovie is a stationary bike designed solely with kids in mind. Its signature Pedal-to-Play™ experience connects physical movement with interactive games. As kids pedal, the game responds with engaging content to encourage continued gameplay-simulated exercise.
“Kids need movement, but getting outside to run and play isn’t always practical,” said Arnav Dalmia, founder and CEO of Tovie. “As weather, schedules, space, and individual needs can sometimes get in the way, we designed an entirely new solution that makes movement accessible and engaging for kids who need to burn energy, reset, or refocus.”
Movement also does more than burn energy. Activities like pedaling provide proprioceptive input, which is physical feedback through the muscles and joints that can play a role in body awareness and regulation.
While traditional exercise equipment is rarely designed for kids, Tovie is redefining accessible movement by giving families a compact option for use at home and on the go. The technology can also be applied for classrooms and clinical settings.
“Movement is a valuable tool for children, particularly as they learn to understand and regulate their bodies. Giving kids an accessible way to get purposeful movement throughout the day can support regulation, attention, and participation. Tovie was designed around how children actually engage with movement, so it can be an enjoyable activity they actually want to do,” said Dr. Kirti Gandhi, OTD, OTR/L, Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
Three Ways to Experience Tovie
Tovie transforms movement into power in three ways:
- Pedal-to-Play™: Bluetooth-connected games respond as kids pedal, combining physical movement with interactive play.
- Pedal-to-Watch: Through the Tovie app, kids can pedal to make parent-approved YouTube videos play.
- Quiet Mode: Tovie can be used without a connected device, giving kids a screen-free way to pedal while reading, doing homework, sitting at a desk, or during the school day.
Tovie’s games are designed with purpose, while parent controls allow families to adjust game length, sounds, lights, and intensity based on their children’s needs.
“Our goal isn’t to tell families there is one right way for kids to move,” Dalmia said. “It’s to give them another option that prioritizes meeting kids where they are and making movement something they’re excited to do.”
From Cubii to Tovie
Dalmia previously co-founded Cubii, the accessible fitness company behind the compact seated elliptical that launched on Kickstarter in 2014. More than a decade later, he is returning to the platform with a new focus on creating more accessible opportunities for kids to integrate movement into everyday life.
“With Cubii, we learned that movement doesn’t have to look like traditional exercise to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life,” Dalmia said. “Tovie is rooted in that same belief with children’s needs, environments, and interests at the center.”
Tovie launched today on Kickstarter, with early-bird pricing starting at $279. Backers are expected to begin receiving Tovie bikes in June 2027.
